Not Worth Buying |
I bought this book some time ago & wished I hadnt bothered. All it is is a marketing effort for one agency that offers home exchange. The authors even acknowledge this at the front of the book! Theres lots of peoples (i.e. members of this agencys) stories about their exchanges but very little concrete information. I would be surprised if the book is still being sold as, as well as being less than comprehensive, it hardly mentions the internet and Im sure most people arrange their exchanges in this way now, not by getting some weighty, pricey & out of date book a couple of times a year.

Everything you would want to know about home swap holidays |
Its a great book for anyone interested in home swap holidays. Actually, I think its the only book of its kind. By giving us the facts about the concept, and all the information about all the different agencies that organise these holidays, it saved me and my family nearly £5000 over the past two years. Weve had luxury accommodation too. The writing style is American, but I think that adds to its charm. Its unpretentious, and is written by a husband and wife team who obviously know what theyre talking about. Personally, I would strongly recommend the book to anyone who likes to have a luxury holiday for just the cost of the air tickets. I only wish it had been written about ten years ago!

The only independent guide to home exchange holidays |
Its not a novel or a holiday picture book. But for anyone interested in home exchange hoidays this is the only independent guide and how-to book I know of. In that respect, its ideal. Its full of ideas and tips about how to go about setting up an exchange holiday. The best part is the comprehensive reference section which gives an assessment of all the home exchange organisations and recommends the best of the bunch. I bought a copy about a year ago and since then Ive bought a couple for friends as a present. I think its a great book for those interested in the subject.
